Rock and Roll Cricket
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010If you know nothing about cricket… the best possible way to become interested is to watch the below clip. Last night, a young Australian… David Warner scored the second fastest 50 of all time.
Aussie Aussie Aussie….
Currently there are three different types of cricket played:
a) Test Matches (5-days)… I am one of the few people I know who can sit in front of the TV and watch an entire match. Women/ wives tend to hate this form of the game.
b) One Day Internationals (1-day)… The pinnacle of this form is the World Cup
c) Twenty20 (3-hrs)…
Twenty20 cricket is taking the cricket world by storm as it is faster and more exciting. The old school folk are still wary of it. (It’s kind of like changing the rules to baseball so that there are only 2-innings).
Anyway… The goal in cricket is simple… your team needs to score more runs than the other team. In Twenty20 cricket you only get to face about 120 balls so you need to make your runs super-fast.
Enjoy…
