Matt has had the great honor of working with some of the greatest worship leaders on the planet including: Michael W. Smith, Vicky Beeching, Alabaster Box and Matt Maher.
Juxtapose these experiences with his Methodist upbringing in rural Australia, and it becomes apparent that he has a well rounded understanding of what church music can and should be.
Combine this broad back ground of Church music experiences with the fact that Matt used to be a high school teacher and the result is a dynamic Church Band Seminar that can change the course of YOUR church’s praise and worship experience.
The Church Band Seminar runs for 2-3hrs and covers many important topics including:
- How to craft a musical arrangement together (without making the keyboardist cry).
- How to posture one’s self on stage (while not looking bored OR like Bono).
- Technical issues (monitors, amplifiers etc).
- Worship leading
- Individual instrument tips
- Strategies for getting between songs (managing the gaps)
- Bulding a strong team
- Servant hearted leadership
The Complete Church Band Seminar runs for 4 hrs and includes all of the above PLUS a detailed critique of a song prepared and ‘performed’ by your worship band.

I have not forgotten our conversations about this. It is something that our music director needs to pursue as far as our parish is concerned. I have other contacts in the area who are interested, so I may just work outside of the box on this one, though it will be post Easter at this point. Perhaps late summer or early Fall? God bless.

Just checking out your site. It would be REALLY COOL if you could do your seminar back at Rangeville one day. Hume, old mate
